Article 62: Electoral divisions

The House of Representatives shall consist of such number of members, being an odd number and divisible by the number of electoral divisions, as Parliament shall from time to time determine. Such members shall be elected in such number from each electoral division, being an equal number from each such division, as Parliament shall determine.

The division of Malta into electoral divisions, the descriptions of the boundaries of such divisions and the number of members to be elected from each division shall be such as Parliament shall from time to time determine.

In determining the number of members of the House of Representatives or the division of Malta into electoral divisions or the number of members to be elected from each division, regard shall be had as far as is reasonably practicable to the number of inhabitants as ascertained at the last census of the population.
