Article 114: Grant of pensions
Chapter X - The Public Service

The power to grant any benefits to which this article applies shall vest in the President.

The President shall not be obliged to exercise his powers under this article in accordance with the advice of any other person or authority.

This article applies to any benefits which are or may be prescribed by law in relation to persons who have ceased to be public officers.

This article vests in the President the power to grant pensions and similar benefits to persons who have ceased to be public officers, and specifies that the President is not obliged to act on the advice of any other person or authority in exercising this power.
